TERMS & CONDITIONS - REFUND POLICY
1) Custom Orders
All engagement rings and custom jewelry are made-to-order and handcrafted based on the specifications provided by the client.
Once a custom design has been approved and production has commenced, no changes, modifications, or cancellations may be made.
You are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all information provided, including but not limited to ring size, design specifications, metal type, stone selection, and personalization details. Jewels of Toronto is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information supplied by the client.
2) Design Process
As part of the custom design process, we may provide design concepts, CAD renderings, and/or wax models.
Final approval must be provided in writing (via email or approved form) prior to the commencement of production. Written approval constitutes acceptance of all design details.
If no response or approval is received within seven (7) calendar days, Jewels of Toronto reserves the right, at its discretion, to continue, pause, or cancel the order.
3) Payment Terms
All orders place on the website are either paid in full at checkout, or using financing. If an order is placed with an associate in person or over the phone, typically a non-refundable deposit of 10% is required to initiate the design process.
Full payment must be completed prior to shipment or in-store pickup of the finished piece.
We accept major credit and debit cards, e-transfer, and PayPal. Payment method availability may change at our discretion.
4) Cancellations & Refunds
Orders may be cancelled and fully refunded within twenty-four (24) hours of order placement, provided production has not commenced.
All custom jewelry orders, including but not limited to engagement rings and wedding bands, are final sale once production has begun and are not eligible for cancellation, return, exchange, or refund.
For custom orders placed in person or through a sales associate, cancellation may be requested prior to the start of production; however, any deposit paid may be forfeited at our discretion, as deposits are applied toward materials, labor, and production scheduling.
No refunds or returns will be issued for completed and/or delivered custom jewelry.
In rare and exceptional circumstances, a return of a completed custom engagement ring may be approved solely at the discretion of Jewels of Toronto. If approved, the item must be returned in its original condition.
Upon receipt, the item will undergo a fourteen (14) day verification period to confirm authenticity, originality, and condition.
Upon successful verification, any custom engagement ring approved for refund will be melted and permanently destroyed. We do not reuse materials from custom jewelry due to structural integrity standards and the sentimental or emotional significance associated with bespoke pieces.
Accordingly, all approved custom jewelry returns are subject to a fifty percent (50%) restocking fee, which will be deducted from any eligible refund.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that custom jewelry is made specifically to your specifications and is final sale, except where expressly stated otherwise in this policy.
5) Shipping & Delivery
All products are made to order and typically require approximately 10–18 business days to craft.
Once completed, orders are shipped via a major expedited shipping provider. Shipping transit times generally range from 2–6 business days, depending on carrier and destination.
Jewels of Toronto is not responsible for delays caused by weather conditions, customs processing, carrier delays, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
6) Warranty & Repairs
All rings include a limited lifetime craftsmanship warranty covering manufacturing or structural defects.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, improper care, or third-party alterations.
Repair services may be offered at our discretion. Fees may apply depending on the nature of the repair.
Jewels of Toronto reserves the right to deny or withdraw warranty coverage at any time for reasons including, but not limited to, improper use or unauthorized modifications.
7) Ring Resizing
One complimentary resizing is included within ninety (90) days of delivery, subject to design limitations and material feasibility.
Additional or excessive resizing requests may incur fees. All resizing approvals are at the discretion of Jewels of Toronto or its associates.
8) Diamond & Gemstone Policy
We source diamonds and gemstones ethically and provide appropriate certification where applicable.
Natural variations in gemstones are expected and are considered part of the unique character of each piece. Such variations do not constitute defects.
9) Intellectual Property
All custom designs, renderings, CAD files, wax models, and related materials remain the exclusive intellectual property of Jewels of Toronto unless otherwise agreed in writing.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any designs for replication or production elsewhere without prior written consent.
10) Limitation of Liability
Jewels of Toronto’s total liability for any claim arising from an order shall be strictly limited to the purchase price paid for the item.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
11) Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12) Klarna Return Policy
Klarna’s 14-day return policy may not apply to some custom or made-to-order jewelry, including engagement rings and wedding bands, and will require approval from an associate.
Klarna returns are automatically approved for eligible non-custom items, which must be unopened, unused, and in original condition.
All Approved Klarna refunds are processed within fourteen (14) business days to the Klarna account.
